The Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA) requires wholesalers to verify the validity of saleable returns with the manufacturer. Aurobindo has been working to comply with these requirements of Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) for Saleable Return Verification and has decided to incorporate TraceLink’s Product Information Management module – Verification Router Service (VRS) to verify saleable returns.
We have already completed the testing to validate the VRS TraceLink Application and configuration in Production environment. We are ready to implement verification of serialized returned product from our supply chain partners.
In order to move on with the verification process we request you to please follow the below steps:
STEP 1 – Verification through Look up Directories / Verification router services (VRS)
If you have chosen a VRS service provider to support your return product verification, then we are ready to go live through our VRS provider TraceLink you can simply initiate the product verification and any negative response received from VRS system which require further investigation can be e-mailed to vrs@aurobindo.com. The investigation request must include the following four product identifier information:
- GTIN
- Serial no.
- Lot no.
- Lot Expiry date
If your VRS service provider has not established a connection / tested with the Tracelink yet then we request you to please send the below information in an e-mail to vrs@aurobindo.com. We will then work with your service provider to test and establish the connection.

Step 2 – Manual Verification Request
If you do not have an approved VRS provider and you would still need to perform a saleable return verification, then you can download the saleable return verification form and e-mail the copy of the completed form to vrs@aurobindo.com.
